Legal Status & Independence
KOBRLA is an independent, non-profit, unincorporated association established and governed under its Constitution. It is not a company, registered charity or statutory legal regulator. The Association promotes UK–Korea professional cooperation, education and community engagement and does not operate as a commercial referral service for any particular firm or business.
Information published by KOBRLA is general legal information, not advice on an individual case. Any separately organised legal clinic or pro bono service must have its own appropriate professional arrangements and clear terms of engagement.
Our Mission & Vision
Guided by our motto "Collaboratio et Pax per Legem", KOBRLA is established to achieve the following objectives (Article 4 of Articles of Association):
- Facilitate exchange and networking among members.
- Protect members' professional legal rights and promote welfare.
- Share knowledge on UK-Korea legal practices and systems.
- Provide education to enhance legal expertise.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination.
- Support the Korean community through pro bono activities.
